CURRICULUM

The choir "Cantoria Sine Nomine" was born in 1994 in the town of Castelnuovo (Trento – Italy) thanks to the initiative of a group of passionate people who desired to make a careful study of the Classical Polyphony and Gregorian Music. The choir is composed of about 30 persons coming from different towns in Trentino and proposes  a  wide repertoire of music coming from different epochs and styles, beginning with the Gregorian to the Renaissance Polyphony, from the Baroque to the Romanticism and contemporary Authors.

During the first years of its life the choir had an intensive concert activity and took part in very important exhibitions and shows. Particularly important is the participation to the "4° Internationale Fesstage geistlicher Choirmusik" in Rottenburg an Neckar, the presence of the choir at the Festival "Palestrina e l'Europa" which was organised by the same foundation, at the 40° International Exhibition of Loreto, at the Festival "Trento Musicantica", at the concert season 2003 and 2004 of the "Società del Quartetto e Amici della Musica" in Vicenza, at the "Festival Musica '900" in Trento, at the 6° International Concert Festival "Organi storici del Vicentino", at the "Festival della musica barocca" and at the show "Jubilate Deo". Very interesting has been the participation  at the Musical Laboratory in Pergine (Trento – Italy) "Open Show" in which  the choir took  part for the fitting out of the scene of the Musical "Candide" of Leonard Bernstein, and that of the "L'Elisir d'Amore" of Gaetano Donizetti.

Under the supervision of the actors Jacopo Laurino and Elena Galvani the choir has also realised for the Centro Servizi Culturali Santa Chiara of Trento the play "Il pioppo nella neve", with music placed on Brecht texts and harmonized for choir by Roberto di Marino and Dario Tosolini. Before that, with the same collaboration took place the shows "La corte in festa", realised in the Buonconsiglio Castle and "Il Palazzo delle Muse" which has taken place at the MART Museum In Rovereto.

The aim of the choir is the training of the singers through vocal courses, sometimes even with the help of professional teachers, in order to study deeply some repertoires, some other times with other choirs to realize common projects. One example is the cooperation of our choir with the teacher Mario Lanaro, with whom the choir has worked as  a "Laboratory choir" and has helped for the realisation of some staging.

The choir is conducted from its real beginning by Carlo Andriollo, who has attended specislised courses for choir conductors with the teachers Piergiorgio Righele, Mario Lanaro, Krum Maximov, Sandro Filippi e Ricardo Rodriguez and vocal courses with Roberto Spremulli and Clara Puorto.

President of the choir is Mr Trentinaglia Flavio.
